Maybe your body hurts. Maybe your heart hurts. Maybe you’re stressed and anxious. Maybe you need help letting go and shifting the ick out of your body, so you can move forward in a positive way, with the greatest ease possible. I’m Ashe Abbott, a Certified Massage Therapist and intuitive healer serving clients at Fountains Day Spa. Whether your needs are physical, emotional or energetic — or a combination of all three — I’m your modern-day medicine woman, and I’m here to help.

Reiki

My massage style is unique, and delivers relief from muscular pain and tension very effectively. My session offerings run the full gamut, from the most relaxing Swedish techniques to the deepest therapeutic work — though many clients prefer an intuitive combination of these within their sessions. Many of my sessions include passive stretching techniques that enhance the release you feel in your body, and all of them are infused with healing Reiki energy.

I’ve known for most of my life that my purpose is to help people shift into healthier, more authentic states of being. I’ve explored a number of different paths, but I always come back to this. It’s just what I do. It’s as much a part of me as breathing, and I’m always exploring ways to go deeper and be more effective in my work.

I’m a Certified Massage Therapist who is licensed to practice in Virginia. I’m also a third generation psychic medium, an empath, an intuitive healer, and a second degree Reiki practitioner with fourth degree lineage to Dr. Mikao Usui, who founded the Reiki tradition. I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in Anthropology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and I completed my massage therapy studies at the COMTA-accredited Body Therapy Institute in Silk Hope, North Carolina. BTI teaches an “integrative approach to massage therapy based in mindfulness, compassion and somatic awareness.” This exceptional program has served as the foundation on which I have built my intuitive healing practice.

I am very grateful for my gifts, and my passion is to use them to help others be more joyful, peaceful, abundant, compassionate, and connected to the oneness of the Universe. In other words, I always want to leave you feeling inspired and empowered. I’m honored to be of service to you!

Our refreshing milk cleanser and toner, Lait Hydra Fraicheur  and Lotion Hydra Fraicheur  are great for all skin types. With Aloe Vera as the main ingredient, this combo helps calm and hydrate your skin after air travel or sun exposure. The milky gel-like texture also makes it great for gently removing makeup. Following up with the refreshing toner to remove any makeup and cleanser residue will leave the skin feeling fresh and clean.

Summer is a great time to indulge your skin, I like doing this with a mask. Guinot has three travel size masks, and they are all amazing. The Anti Fatigue Mask is great for perking up and brightening dull skin, especially during and after flying. It contains cold essential oils such as eucalyptus and mint to refresh and bring your skin back to life. Mask Hydra Beaute is also a wonderful mask. If you have dry or dehydrated skin, this mask will bathe your skin in relaxing moisture, giving you back your summer glow. The last travel mask that Guinot has is Mask Vital Antirides, this is ideal for mature skin. It erases signs of fatigue and reinforces skin elasticity.

The Longue Vie Mains is a great hand cream to keep in your purse or car. It makes your hands feel smooth and moisturized, but never greasy. It also helps with fading mild hyper pigmentation on the backs of hands, cause no one wants sun spots.

Travel size creme hydra beaute

Our Creme Hydra Beaute is a very moisturizing yet light cream. It’s perfect for summer weather since it doesn’t feel like you have a heavy layer of moisturizer on your face.

travel size hydra tendre

Hydra Tendre cleansing cream is one of our most popular cleansers, and my personal favorite at the moment. It makes so much sense for this to come in a travel size. This cleanser is gentle yet works wonders for skin that gets oily in the summertime. With the main active ingredient being Aloe Vera Extract it leaves skin feeling revived and refreshed.

Travel size Gommage Grain

One important thing to remember is the summer is to exfoliate your skin on a weekly basis. Between makeup and moisturizers, sunscreen and pollution, your skin has a lot built up on the surface. For those of you who have sensitive skin or don’t like the traditional grainy exfoliators, try the Gommage Biologique. This is an exfoliating peeling gel that helps remove dead skin cells with AHAs. If you’re more into traditional grainy exfoliators, then check out Gommage Grain, it has microspheres that gently eliminates dead skin cells while smoothing and refining skin’s texture.

Hi there!!  I’m Brandy and I’m the newest Massage Therapist here at Fountains Day Spa.  I’m  a transplant to the area from Western New York… (cue pity remarks for being a Buffalo Bills/Sabres fan here).  I love where I’m from, everyone pulls together to help each other out. However my love for traveling has taken me all around the country and dropped me off at the Nation’s capital, and I have to say I’m loving it here!

Swedish Massage

Throughout my travels I have worn many hats, and worked many jobs, but my heart has always gone back to Massage Therapy, as it is my passion. I love being able to use my hands to help people, as well as enabling them to relax at the same time. Getting to know each of my clients, and finding out what their specific issues, and requirements are, is my specialty. I am not a one-trick-pony, I believe in customizing my routine to suit their specific needs.

With eleven years of experience and almost 1500 hours of training, I am sure to be able to customize any clients’ treatment to their liking.  I am so excited to be starting this adventure at Fountains and to provide my clientele with the best possible treatment every time.  I look forward to meeting you!!
