Therapist Spotlight: Ashe Abbott
Guest Blogger: Ashe Abbott
Maybe your body hurts. Maybe your heart hurts. Maybe you’re stressed and anxious. Maybe you need help letting go and shifting the ick out of your body, so you can move forward in a positive way, with the greatest ease possible. I’m Ashe Abbott, a Certified Massage Therapist and intuitive healer serving clients at Fountains Day Spa. Whether your needs are physical, emotional or energetic — or a combination of all three — I’m your modern-day medicine woman, and I’m here to help.
My massage style is unique, and delivers relief from muscular pain and tension very effectively. My session offerings run the full gamut, from the most relaxing Swedish techniques to the deepest therapeutic work — though many clients prefer an intuitive combination of these within their sessions. Many of my sessions include passive stretching techniques that enhance the release you feel in your body, and all of them are infused with healing Reiki energy.
I’ve known for most of my life that my purpose is to help people shift into healthier, more authentic states of being. I’ve explored a number of different paths, but I always come back to this. It’s just what I do. It’s as much a part of me as breathing, and I’m always exploring ways to go deeper and be more effective in my work.
I’m a Certified Massage Therapist who is licensed to practice in Virginia. I’m also a third generation psychic medium, an empath, an intuitive healer, and a second degree Reiki practitioner with fourth degree lineage to Dr. Mikao Usui, who founded the Reiki tradition. I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in Anthropology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and I completed my massage therapy studies at the COMTA-accredited Body Therapy Institute in Silk Hope, North Carolina. BTI teaches an “integrative approach to massage therapy based in mindfulness, compassion and somatic awareness.” This exceptional program has served as the foundation on which I have built my intuitive healing practice.
I am very grateful for my gifts, and my passion is to use them to help others be more joyful, peaceful, abundant, compassionate, and connected to the oneness of the Universe. In other words, I always want to leave you feeling inspired and empowered. I’m honored to be of service to you!
