The perfect cleanser and the one I recommend the most for combination to oily skin is the Guinot Microbiotic Mousse (Purifying Cleansing Foam). Now that we are moving into the warmer months of the year, our skin tends to release more oil and sweat. This excess secretion can lead to clogged pores and other unwanted blemishes. This cleansing foam is geared to clean, purify and balance oil secretion, without leaving the skin feeling tight.
If your skin feels “tight” after washing your face, that is not a good thing. This feeling actually means that you have striped too much oil from the skin, which may seem beneficial for people with oily skin but it’s actually the opposite. Every skin type needs oil (even acneic skin), the key is regulating how much oil your skin has. If someone were to cleanse their skin with a cleanser that strips away all the oil from the face, the glands in your skin will get an urgent message that your skin is dehydrated and will begin to over-secrete more oil. Also when the skin is dehydrated it tends to hold on to any oils it can, to compensate for the lack of hydration. This results in an increase in blackheads and breakouts. Therefore it is always important to wear moisturizer no matter how oily your skin is. Some moisturizers that work well with oily skin are, Creme Pur Equilibre, Matizone, and Hydrazone All.
Again, this is why I prefer to recommend the Microbiotic Cleanser for oily skin types, as it helps to regulate, rather than eliminate oil. Some of the key active ingredients include olive leaf extract, zinc, coconut extract, and palm tree seed extract. All these ingredients provide the perfect remedy for clear beautiful skin!
